CONAKRY, Guinea, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Amnesty International reports finding evidence in Guinea of continuous arrests, harassment and illegal detention after the bloody Sept. 28 political protest.

The official death toll from the violent protest the stadium in Conakry is listed at 58 people but human rights organizations figure at least 157 died.

Mouctar Diallo, vice-president of Guinea's national human rights commission, was arrested last week and held for "endangering the security of the state," an Amnesty delegation that returned from Guinea Tuesday said.

More than 40 people who attended the rally were still unaccounted for, the group said.

Amnesty International also reported uncovering fresh evidence about disturbing levels of sexual violence with more than 30 women telling authorities they were raped.
