TEL AVIV, Israel, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- A group of youngsters stoned a number of Israeli vehicles traveling near the Arab-Israeli city of Kafr Qassem, victims said.
Ynewnews.com said Sunday that Efrat Dock and her family were in one of the vehicles targeted by the unidentified young assailants on Highway 5 on Saturday night.
Dock said her family was traveling near Kafr Qassem on Saturday night when they were forced to stop for a group of youngsters that walked onto the highway.
Efrat said after her husband warned other oncoming vehicles about the youths in the road, one of the assailants threw a rock that struck the family's car.
"We heard a boom as the stone hit the rear window and shattered it," she said. "Luckily, the rock hit the side of the car where our son was sitting, because our infant girl was sitting right beside him. I don't want to think of what might have happened had we been driving faster. It could have ended in disaster," Efrat said.
Ynetnews.com said Saturday's attacks on travelers near the Arab-Israeli city are part of a series of stone-throwing incidents that typically take place during times of political tension.
