SYDNEY, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Police in New South Wales, Australia, said they have charged the son of art expert Nick Waterlow with killing his father and sister.

A New South Wales police spokesman confirmed Anthony Waterlow, 42, is facing murder charges for allegedly stabbing his 68-year-old father, Nick, to death, along with his 37-year-old sister, Chloe, The (Sydney) Daily Telegraph reported Friday.

The bodies of the British art expert and his daughter were found this month in the Sydney suburb of Eastern Beaches.

The 2-year-old daughter of Chloe Waterlow also suffered a deep cut to her neck during the double killing, authorities said.

Nick Waterlow gained notoriety for his involvement in three Sydney biennales as well as his written works for Art and Australia magazine and Nation Review.

The unidentified police spokesman said while Anthony Waterlow went missing after the Nov. 9 killings, the suspect was eventually located outside of Sydney and detained.

The Daily Telegraph said Anthony Waterlow has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
