STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- The Swedish government says climate change will be one of the main topics of discussion when China and the European Union hold their 12th summit November 30.
The meeting in Nanjing, China, will also focus on how the relationship between the EU and China should move forward under the Lisbon Treaty, the Swedish Government Office said in a release Friday.
The document identified the global economic situation as a third issue on the meeting's agenda.
Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt will head the EU delegation in China. Other delegates from Sweden include Carl Bildt, the minister for foreign affairs.
Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission, will represent the EU at the talks hosted by Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao.
Following the summit, Reinfeldt and Barroso will travel to Beijing.
