SANGIN, Afghanistan, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A soldier from Britain's Royal Logistic Corps has died in a blast in Afghanistan's Helmand Province, military officials said Sunday.
The soldier died Saturday near Sangin, British Ministry of Defense officials said.

The death brings to 224 the number of British military personnel killed in Afghanistan since 2001, the BBC reported.
Sangin is a center of opium trade in the south of the Afghanistan and has traditionally has supported the Taliban, authorities said.
