Death toll in China mine blast rises to 14

SHIZUISHAN, China, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- The death toll rose to 14 in a coal mine explosion in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, authorities said Monday.

Rescuers called off a search for two missing workers after DNA tests conducted on remains in the mine proved the workers were dead, Xinhua, China's state-run news agency, reported.
