LONDON, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Geert Wilders, the Dutch member of parliament best-known for opposing Muslim immigration, won the right Tuesday to travel to Britain.

The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal ruled in Wilders' favor in his appeal of a Home Office decision to bar him from the country, the BBC reported. His lawyer said he would visit Britain next week.

Wilders was refused entry at Heathrow International Airport in February. He had been invited to Britain by Malcolm Pearson, a member of the House of Lords as Baron Pearson and of the United Kingdom Independence Party, which supports British withdrawal from the European Union.

Pearson had invited Wilders to show his film, "Fitna," which infuriated Muslims when he posted it on the Internet last year.

The lawyer said Wilders and Pearson would go to a meeting together.

The Home Office said it had not yet decided whether to appeal the ruling.
