Four Iraqi police officers die in blast

BAGHDAD, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- An explosion killed four Iraqi police officers and injured five other people in northern Iraq, the Interior Ministry said.

A ministry official said officers were on patrol Wednesday night when the bomb went off, CNN reported.

The blast occurred in Muqdadiya in Diyala province, about 62 miles north of Baghdad, officials said.
