PANAMA CITY, Fla., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- The Kentucky teenage couple who went on an alleged crime spree were arrested in Panama City Beach, Fla., after evading police for about two weeks.
Dalton Hayes, 18, and Cheyenne Phillips, 13, began their alleged crime spree earlier this month by stealing a pickup truck, according to Kentucky police.
Hayes was out on bond for a burglary charge before they were considered suspects in the thefts. The couple could face charges of auto theft, among others, including a custodial interference charge for Hayes since Phillips is a minor.
They arrested them after police discovered them asleep in a stolen truck. Kentucky officials are attempting to extradite them back to Kentucky.
