WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- On Monday, federal health officials said 115,000 immigrants will lose their health care coverage they purchased through the insurance exchange.

According to officials, the reason is because they failed to provide proof by the Sept. 5 deadline of that their immigration status allows them to have insurance through the exchanges.

Those people can still send in the needed information to the exchange. If they are found eligible, they will be able to regain coverage.

Also, 360,000 people who have coverage may loose financial subsidies for their insurance premiums. That is because the information about their income they provided is different than what is on federal tax records.

Officials said those people will start getting letters by Sept. 30 to provide the needed information or their costs may change.
