Investigators said Jones, 32, killed his children in his Lexington County home before placing them in garbage bags and dumping their bodies in a rural part of Alabama.

Jones was arrested in Smith County, MS when officials there stopped his vehicle at a checkpoint. That was when deputies saw bleach, muriatic acid, blood and body fluids inside the man's Cadillac Escalade.

The exact cause of death has not been released. However, the arrest warrants said the children died by "violent means."

All five children lived with their father. It is alleged he killed them about a week before their mother, who is Jones' ex-wife reported them missing Sept. 3, Lexington County Sheriff Lewis McCarty said.
