Man freed after wrongfully imprisoned for 25 years

Deacond, 58, was convicted of killing a 16-year-old boy in 1989.

Nov. 22 (UPI) -- A man wrongfully convicted of killing a 16-year-old boy in 1989 was released last Monday, after spending 25 years in jail.

Derrick Deacon was accused of killing Anthony Wynn in the middle of a Brooklyn robbery.

Last year, the FBI said another man had killed Wynn allowing Deacon to be retried and let go.

“I was trembling. I was in tears. I couldn’t believe it. I told my lawyer, she got to hold me,” Deacon said after hearing the verdict.
