Authorities have questioned legendary NBA star Scottie Pippen in connection with the brutal beatdown of an autograph seeker in Malibu on Sunday, TMZ reported.

The 47-year-old former Bulls star was at restaurant Nobu with his family. It was when Pippen and his family left the restaurant that and argument ensued and he allegedly punched an autograph seeker in the face and kicked him repeatedly. The victim reportedly suffered several broken teeth, as well as injuries to his neck and back.

"Our detectives are not going to book and arrest Mr. Pippen," L.A. County Sheriff's Department Capt. Pat Davoren told reporters. "He came in and was very cooperative and answered a lot of questions. Our detectives have to do further investigating, mainly talking to other witnesses."

TMZ cameras caught Pippen leaving the police station on Monday afternoon:
