June 17 (UPI) -- Passengers on a United Airlines flight from Hong Kong to Newark have been instructed to restrain a passenger that claims he has "poisoned everyone on board."

United Flight 116 is set to land in Newark at 2:05 p.m., and FBI officials are prepared to interview the man.

Law enforcement officials in both New York and Washington, D.C., are responding to the event, and believe that the passenger that made the claim is emotionally disturbed.

So far, there is no evidence that the passengers have been poisoned. The passenger made the announcement mid-flight hours ago, and the flight crew decided to continue to its final destination.
