Months after the two split, Sarah Palin has returned to FOX News.

Roger Ailes, FOX chairman and CEO, announced Thursday that the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate will rejoin FOX News as a contributor. According to New York Daily News, Palin will appear during daytime and primetime programming.

Her exit from the network in January was apparently amicable, as Ailes is quoted as saying, "I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind." But her departure did draw heat from many, including Karl Rove.

Palin's first reappearance will occur on FOX's morning show "FOX & Friends" on Monday, June 17th.

The Washington Post claims that her initial time-slot on Monday is meant to grab the attention of viewers while CNN debuts its new morning show at the same time.
