May 31 (UPI) -- Japanese camera maker Canon announced it will no longer sell film cameras, focusing solely on digital cameras and accessories.
The company said Wednesday it will stop sales of its last film camera, the EOS-1V, a 35mm SLR -- or single lens reflex camera -- released in 2000. Canon said it stopped making the camera in 2010 due to declining sales for film cameras and was preparing to ship its last stock of the device.
