July 1 (UPI) -- Twenty-eight people were injured in a shooting at an Arkansas night club early Saturday morning, police say.
Little Rock Police confirmed on Twitter late Saturday morning that there were 25 gunshot victims and three others suffering from unrelated injuries -- more than the initial number, 17 wounded, that police had previously disclosed. All were expected to survive, police said.
Police said they didn't believe the shooting was related to any terror group.
"We do not believe this incident was an active shooter or terror related incident," police said on Twitter. "It appears to have been a dispute at a concert."
The shooting happened at the Power Ultra Lounge, where artist Finese 2 Tymes was scheduled to perform, at about 2:30 a.m.
Police said the victims included those struck by gunfire or trampled in the resulting panic, KATV reported, and all of the victims have been transported to local hospitals in the area.
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson released a statement Saturday morning, specifically addressing his concern for what he believes to be a crime problem in Little Rock.
"We are still gathering facts, but it is clear that we need to have a comprehensive enforcement strategy in place that helps take the violent threats off the streets," Hutchinson said. "The state will participate and bring assets to the table to support local law enforcement efforts."
Police are looking for multiple suspects in the shooting.
