Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Millions in 44 states were locked-in on Wednesday night when Powerball numbers were drawn because at the start of the broadcast there was $403 million at stake -- and had increased to $435.3 million by the time the numbers were on screen.

The winning ticket for Wednesday's Powerball prize was sold in Indiana, with the owner correctly picking the winning numbers: 10-13-28-52-61. The Powerball is 2 and the Powerplay is 2.

A Match 5 Power Play ticket worth $2 million was also sold in New Jersey, and Match 5 winning tickets worth $1 million were sold in Kansas, Massachusetts, New York and Texas.

Wednesday's $435.3 million prize, paid out over 29 years, is the first in three months to surpass $400 million. The prize has a cash value of $243.9 million.

Winning Powerball requires some combination of all five winning numbers and the Powerball. After last Saturday's drawing, more than 1.65 million people won some type of award adding up to a total payout of $25.2 million.

Next Saturday's Powerball prize is estimated to be worth $40 million, with a cash value of $24.2 million.
