Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Montana Rep. Ryan Zinke, President-elect Donald Trump's pick to serve as secretary of the interior, will face a Senate hearing as part of his confirmation process on Tuesday.
The Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee hearing was scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. Opening remarks will be delivered by Chairman Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Ark, and committee ranking member Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.

Zinke, 55, is a former U.S. Navy SEAL and Montana Senate member who served from 2009-11 before assuming office for Montana's at-large, single congressional district as a U.S. House of Representatives member.
