Man found dead in Russia's New York City consulate

The unidentified man is believed to have died in a fall.

NEW YORK, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A man was found dead inside the Russian consulate in New York City early Tuesday, police said.

"Police are here and they are investigating. So far we are not commenting," an official of the consulate told the New York Daily News, which added the man apparently fell to his death.

The victim, unidentified except that the New York Police Department described him as a "63-year-old male with unidentified trauma to his head, unconscious and unresponsive," was found at the 91st St. address of the consulate in Manhattan.

Police added that emergency medical personnel declared the man dead at the scene, and that the city's medical examiner is determining the cause of death.
