HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- The Republican headquarters in Orange County, N.C., that was damaged after someone threw a firebomb through its window is set to reopen near the original site of the crime, party officials said.

A bottle with flammable liquid was thrown through its window on Oct. 16 and the building was spray-painted with a swastika and the message "Nazi Republicans leave town or else," according to reports.

The North Carolina Republican Party said a new field office for Orange County will open just a few hundred yards from the one that was targeted by vandals.

WNCN-TV, the local CBS affiliate, said Republican Gov. Pat McCrory offered to double a previous $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
