WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- An unidentified man spray painted messages supporting the Black Lives Matter movement on Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., over the weekend, police said.

The phrases "Black Lives Matter" and "No Justice" with the word peace with a line through it were painted on the recently opened hotel by a man in a yellow shirt Saturday afternoon, the Metropolitan Police Department reported.

Police said they are still searching for the man who did the painting, and sheets of plywood were placed in front of the graffiti by Sunday afternoon, a spokesperson for the hotel said.

A video of the man spray painting the building was posted on Twitter Saturday night, showing him finishing the words on the wall before turning and quickly crossing Pennsylvania Avenue away from the hotel.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has touted the opening of the new hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue for months. The Trump Organization turned the Old Post Office building, down the street from the White House, into the $212 million, 263-room Trump International Hotel, which opened for business on Sept. 12.
