UPI/CVoter poll: Hillary Clinton has 2-point lead over Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- The UPI/CVoter daily presidential tracking poll released Wednesday shows Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by 2 percentage points.

The online poll shows Clinton leading 48.1 percent to 46.1 percent.

Wednesday's data holds a trend in which Clinton has held a steady 2- to 4-point lead over Trump for the past 10 days.

The UPI/CVoter online tracking poll surveys about 200 people each day, leading to a sample size of roughly 1,400 people during any seven-day span.

Because the poll is conducted online and individuals self-select to participate, a margin of error cannot be calculated. The poll has a credibility interval of 3 percentage points. This seven-day span includes data collected from Aug. 30-Sept. 5, when 1,783 were surveyed. Of them, 1,220 identified themselves as likely voters.
