Congress to receive FBI's interview notes with Hillary Clinton

WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Members of Congress will receive notes from Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's interview with the FBI about her private email server, sources said.

The FBI will turn over the notes to Congress in the next few days, possibly as early as Monday, an official told CBS.

CNN sources said the notes will be available soon.

Several Republicans had requested information from the interview.

FBI Director James Comey told Congress in testimony on July 7 the FBI does not have a complete transcript of the interview.

Clinton spoke for more than three hours on July 2 at its FBI headquarters in Washington regarding he bureau's investigation of her use of her private email server as secretary of state.

Three days later, Comey announced that the FBI was recommending to the Justice Department that no charges should be brought against Clinton in the case. But Comey said Clinton was "extremely careless" in her handling of sensitive, highly classified information.

Congress is on a seven-week recess that started July 14.
