Nebraska pilot dies in crop duster crash

DAVID CITY, Neb., July 29 (UPI) -- A 37-year-old Nebraska man who was piloting a crop duster died after his aircraft crashed in a cornfield, authorities said.

Ragnar Emrich, of Emrich Aerial Spraying, was pronounced dead about 4 p.m. Thursday. His crop duster crashed just north of David City, located about 50 miles northeast of Lincoln, Neb. The crash was reported about 3:20 p.m. by a witness.

Emrich's friends on Facebook said he was a husband and father of four. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
