PHILADELPHIA, July 28 (UPI) -- Hillary Clinton on Thursday is expected to formally accept the Democratic nomination for president on the fourth day of the Democratic National Convention, which in part will focus on gender pay equality and raising the minimum wage.

Beginning at 4:30 p.m EDT at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, the DNC's first scheduled speaker will be Henrietta Ivey, a home care worker who is working with the Fight for $15 movement that seeks to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour. Ivey will be followed by Beth Mathias, an Ohio woman who works two jobs while her husband also works the night shift at a factory.

Jensen Walcott and Jake Reed will later take center stage. Walcott's story embodies the gender inequality movement. When Walcott questioned why she was paid 25 cents less than Reed, her male co-worker and friend, she was fired from her job at a pizza restaurant in Kansas.

Following Walcott and Reed will be Khizr Khan, father of Humayun S. M. Khan -- a University of Virginia graduate who was one of the 14 U.S. Muslims who died while serving in the U.S. military after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
