Pro-Trump kids act plans to sue Donald Trump campaign

By Shawn Price

WASHINGTON, July 27 (UPI) -- The creator of a children's musical act that performed at a Donald Trump rally in Florida now plan to sue the Trump campaign.

Creator Jeff Popick, father of the one of the girls who perform in the act, USA Freedom Kids, told The Washington Post the Trump campaign violated its agreement with the group. The three red, white and blue-clad young girls became a viral hit when they danced and lip synched at the event.

Popick said the group had a verbal agreement with the campaign to get a table at the Pensacola rally to sell their CDs but the campaign never followed through. The campaign also allegedly stood up the group after inviting them to perform at a veterans' event in Iowa in January after Trump pulled out of the Fox New debate.

"This is not a billion-dollar lawsuit," Popick said.

"I'm doing this because I think they have to do the right thing. And if this means having to go through the court system to enforce them doing the right thing, then that's what I have to do. I'm not looking to do battle with the Trump campaign, but I have to show my girls that this is the right thing."
