HADDAM, Conn., July 23 (UPI) -- At least one person was injured when a small plane crashed into a house in Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.

Connecticut State Police said a call came in around 4 p.m. local time reporting the incident. A medical helicopter had been dispatched to the scene to transport the injured person from the aircraft.

It was not immediately clear whether the home was occupied at the time of the crash and it wasn't known how many people were aboard the plane when it happened.

The incident caused about 300 people in the town of Haddam, Conn., to lose power for about two hours Saturday.

Investigators have not determined what caused the crash.
