ORLANDO, Fla., June 29 (UPI) -- Documents released Tuesday by the City of Orlando provide a more detailed look at the events surrounding the Pulse nightclub shooting, including transcripts from the 911 calls some of the victims made.

Included in the release is an "incident narrative," which gives a minute by minute look at the chaos callers were describing to emergency dispatchers.

The narrative starts at 2:02 am on June 12 when the first 911 calls were placed, and paints a picture of the terror that took place inside the club, including audible gunshots and the sounds of people screaming.

Some callers were able to provide a description of shooter Omar Mateen, while others said they could only hear his footsteps approaching.

The narrative also illustrates the victims' injuries as Mateen tore through the nightclub, describing locations of gunshot wounds. The transcripts also noted when callers stopped responding to dispatchers.

One dispatcher noted that a caller was whispering, "please help."

The report notes the official call of Mateen's death at 5:17 a.m. with "bad guy down."

Also noted in the document release, was a text message between Orlando's fire marshal and fire chief about an exit that was possibly blocked by a soda machine.

The information about the blocked exit came from an inspection report on May 21. It's unclear if the exit was still blocked on the night of the massacre.

Authorities have yet to release the audio of the 911 calls, and have redacted many reports, especially those involving Mateen.

The massacre left 49 people dead and dozens more injured.
