PASADENA, Calif., June 26 (UPI) -- Conservative and liberal political junkies headed to Pasadena this weekend to discuss every topic from marijuana legalization to immigration reform and pay inequality during the Politicon 2016 conference in Pasadena, billed as an "unconventional political convention."

Numerous panels spoke both of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's appeal and his danger, the Boston Herald reported. Others guessed at whether Trump has a real chance of beating Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton. One panel even debated whether the orange-haired candidate with the "Make America Great Again" slogan is a psychopath, the Boston Herald reported.

Politicon launched in 2015 on the idea that avid political junkies would be willing to pay for a weekend filled with panels and speeches, exhibits, art and a mix of political comedy, Variety reported.

This unconventional convention brought together conservatives and liberals sharing space in rooms with names like Liberty Hall and The Hamilton Room discussing topics from sexism in politics to "D.C.: Hollywood for Ugly People," The Los Angeles Daily News reported.

Political pundit Van Jones and conservative commentator Ann Coulter actually agreed on a few issues during debate, including the negative effects of trade agreements. But Jones didn't end it there. "Then you put in the anti-immigrant poop and then I can't eat it because I don't agree about the anti-immigrant rhetoric."
