HONOLULU, June 25 (UPI) -- Hawaii became the first state Friday to enact a law to place gun owners into a centralized information system.
Hawaii Governor David Ige signed a series of three gun control laws including Senate bill 2954 which authorizes police departments to enroll firearms applicants and owners into an FBI criminal record monitoring system also known as a "rap back" system.
