LAUDERDALE BY THE SEA, Fla., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Coast Guard has released footage showing the rescue of 13 people from a yacht off the coast of Florida, which sank shortly after everyone was saved.

The rescue operation occurred Monday off the coast of Lauderdale by the Sea after the captain of the 106-foot motor yacht Serena III sent out a mayday emergency notification at about 6:30 p.m. The yacht had six passengers and seven crew members.

The Coast Guard deployed an MH-65 Dolphin Coast Guard helicopter and two boats. The Serena III yacht completely sank about 25 minutes after all 13 people were rescued. There were no injuries.
