MONTEREY, Calif., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Dole Fresh Vegetables announced the voluntary recall of its bagged spinach salad in 13 states because of possible contamination of salmonella bacteria.
The recall, announced Tuesday, involves Dole spinach, with codes A27409B and A27409A stamped on the bags, as well as a stamped expiry date of October 15 and a UPC code of 7143000976. The product was distributed in 13 states, including Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
