NEW YORK, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- A member of Donald Trump's security team got into a scuffle with a protester, when activists gathered outside Trump Tower to decry his stance on immigration.

The altercation happened as the Republican presidential candidate was signing a GOP loyalty pledge promising that he won't seek the nomination of any other party, or run as an independent, if he does not win the Republican nomination. Several media were present.

Efraín Galicia was holding up a large blue sign reading "Trump: Make America Racist Again." A fight ensued when a security guard ripped the sign in two. Galicia chased down and grabbed the security guard, who then struck Galicia in the face, The New York Times reported. The guard then went inside Trump Tower.

"They pushed me around," Galicia told the New York Post. "We brought all our banners. We know the law. We know we can protest along the sidewalk."

The incident reminded Galicia of when the hotel tycoon booted Latino reporter Jorge Ramos from a press conference last month.

"It's like the way his boss behaves: pushing out Ramos from Univision," Galicia said. "These guys, his servants, they think they can do the same thing."
