WASHINGTON, July 31 (UPI) -- Less than two weeks after being released from the hospital, former President George H.W. Bush is giving a thumbs-up to his recovery.
The 91-year-old former president, the oldest alive, tweeted a photo of himself wearing a neck brace, thanking everyone for the kind words and well-wishes.
With his notorious love of skydiving, he could not help but poke some fun at himself. He marked his 80th, 85th, 88th and 90th birthdays with dives.
Who knew jumping out of planes was safer than getting out of bed? Thanks to all for your kind get-well messages. pic.twitter.com/T9FmhCqyme
