Colorado woman Bobbie Oskarson found an 8.53-carat diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas Wednesday.

Oskarson was searching the park just 20 minutes when she dug up what she calls the "Esperanza Diamond," TIME reports.

It is the fifth largest stone discovered in the park since 1972.

She originally thought it was quartz crystal, but staff soon confirmed the treasure was even more lucrative than she originally thought

"Ms. Oskarson's diamond is about three-quarters of an inch long and as big around as a standard No. 2 pencil," Park Interpreter Waymon Cox said in a statement.

Over 75,000 diamonds have been found in the park since 1907 and it has a finders keepers policy.
