WASHINGTON, May 4 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama made a special stop on his walk to Marine One to fist bump the 4-year-old superhero waiting with the press pool.

Luca Martinez tagged along with his father, AP photographer Pablo Martinez, to watch the president walk to Marine One. Luca wore a superhero costume and goggles to protect his eyes while he waited. He covered his ears against the sound but lowered his hands when Obama stopped, smiled and walked over to Luca to bump his fist.

Luca seemed unphased by the presidential encounter but later described the fist bump moment as "fun."

Obama was on his way to Camp David to spend his Sunday. It was his 36th visit to the retreat.
