Lindsey Graham says there's a '91 percent' chance he'll run for president

WASHINGTON, April 20 (UPI) -- Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., says he will run president if he can raise enough money.

"If I can raise the money, I'll run," Graham told Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday.

Wallace asked Graham to put a percentage on the likelihood he enter the race, noting that former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina said last month that she was "90 percent" sure she would run.

Graham said he was "91" percent likely to seek the Republican nomination.

"I think I've got a good message," Graham said. "I think I've done more right than wrong on foreign policy. I've criticized the president for leading from behind, for being weak and indecisive."

"I've been a problem solver in Washington and I think I've got something to offer the party and the nation," he added.

Graham said he was confident he would win the South Carolina primary. But a Winthrop University poll released last month found that 65 percent of registered voters in his home state did not think he should run.

Graham, who said he plans to decide by May, would face fellow Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who have already announced their bid for the Republican nomination.
