CHEYENNE, Wyo., April 17 (UPI) -- At least 60 vehicles piled up and multiple people were injured Thursday after blinding snow fell in southeastern Wyoming.

A 150-mile stretch of Interstate 80 stretching between Cheyenne and Rawlings, Wyo., was shut down through Friday after up to 9.8 inches of snow fell.

Three massive pileups along the interstate included about 50 commercial vehicles -- mostly tractor trailers -- and up to 20 passenger vehicles.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol said at least one dozen people were hospitalized with injuries. No deaths were reported.

The same winter storm system dumped at least 45 inches of snow at the Snowbird ski resort in Utah.
