FORT MEADE, Md., April 1 (UPI) -- Federal authorities have identified the driver of a stolen SUV, who was killed while trying to slam into a security checkpoint at the National Security Agency, as a 27-year-old Baltimore resident with a criminal record.

The FBI on Tuesday identified Ricky Shawatza Hall as one of two men in a stolen Ford Escape, who rammed the gates at the NSA's Fort Meade campus. Hall was shot and killed. The other person in the vehicle, who has not been identified by law enforcement officials, is being treated at a local hospital.

Hall's friends told the Baltimore Sun he was a transsexual who went by the name Mya. Authorities said both men in the vehicle were wearing women's clothes.
