WASHINGTON, March 26 (UPI) -- Pope Francis' September visit to the United States will include a meeting with President Barack Obama, the White House announced Thursday.

They last met in March 2014, when Obama visited the Vatican. A White House statement noted their conversation then included caring for the poor, advancing economic opportunity for all and protecting religious minorities, and that those topics would be included in the September meeting at the White House.
