Man who posted Facebook photo of dead dogs arrested

HUNT COUNTY, Texas, March 4 (UPI) -- Hunt County resident Tim Conaster was arrested Wednesday after posting a Facebook photo of two dogs he allegedly killed for wandering onto his property.

The photo showed two dogs on the ground with the caption, "Somebody didn't put any truth my warning. Keep your damn dogs on your property."

The photo went viral and incited anger from Internet users who sent thousands of threats to Conaster.

Conaster has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty and his bail was set at $10,000.

He was removed from his position as a volunteer firefighter as soon as the photo came to the department's attention.
