PHOENIX, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- An unusually thick layer of fog hit Phoenix on Sunday morning, causing flight and traffic delays.

Inbound flights to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport were averaging a 103-minute delay in the morning because of the fog. Some Super Bowl fans who are driving to Glendale or flying into Phoenix will likely arrive later than planned.
