BOSTON, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Appearing together to boost struggling Democratic nominee for governor of Massachusetts Martha Coakley, Hillary Clinton had warm words for fellow potential presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren.

"I am so pleased to be here with your senior senator, the passionate champion for working people and middle class families, Elizabeth Warren!" Clinton exclaimed from the Massachusetts governor's mansion on Friday.

"I love watching Elizabeth give it to those who deserve to get it. Standing up, not only for you, but people with the same needs and the same wants across our country."

After praising her would-be party rival, Clinton stumped for Coakley from the populace perspective, openly decrying trickle-down economics as dated policy with failed results, reports MSNBC.

"Don't let anybody tell you it's corporations and businesses that create jobs. You know that old theory -- trickle down economics. That has been tried, that has failed. It has failed rather spectacularly ... Trickle down should be confined to the trashbin of history."

For her part, Warren only mentioned Clinton in passing, briefly welcoming Clinton "back to the Commonwealth," before turning her attention to Coakley, according to Politico.
