Joni Ernst ad goes back to her pig-farming roots

WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Iowa Republican Senate candidate Joni Ernst went back to the hogs in her latest campaign ad, indicating Washington smells like a pig sty.

"Too many typical politicians hogging, wasting, full of ... Let's say bad ideas," Ernst says while standing the middle of a hog pen.

In an ad that garnered national attention, she likened her ability to cut the federal budget to her ability to castrate hogs.
