FRANKFORT, Ky., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is buying airtime in Kentucky with the hope of helping candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes win her neck and neck race with current incumbent, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, after new polls suggest a potential upset is possible.
The race has been a close one from the gate, with Grimes taking the lead by two points earlier this month after trailing McConnell in August, according to polls.
