"Recovering from Ebola is a truly humbling feeling," Mukpo said in a statement. "Too many are not as fortunate and lucky as I've been. I'm very happy to be alive."

A total of 48 people who had contact with late Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan were removed from a watch list Monday, while another 120 individuals remain under quarantine in Dallas. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control released a new series of Ebola safety guidelines for healthcare workers Tuesday.
