CANTON, Miss., Oct. 2 (UPI) -- The blogger who was caught photographing the bedridden wife of Sen. Thad Cochran was indicted in Madison County court Wednesday.

Clayton Kelly was charged by a grand jury of attempted burglary in a dwelling, burglary in a dwelling and conspiracy of burglary in a dwelling.

According to attorney Kevin Camp, Kelly entered a not guilty plea and waived his arraignment. He will be due in court again in March.

If convicted Kelly could face up to 55 years in prison, 25 years a piece for each of the first two counts, and five years for conspiracy.

Kelly was arrested in May after he snuck into a nursing home where Rose Cochran, who suffers from advanced dementia, receives hospice care. He posted the photos on his "Constitutional Clayton" blog, as well as a video, which was taken down.

Another man, Richard Sager, is in plea negotiations, while a third, John Mary, pleaded guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to commit a computer crime and was sentenced to five years probation. A fourth man, Mark Mayfield, committed suicide at his home in June.

All four men supported the campaign of state Sen. Chris McDaniel, who continues to fight to continue his campaign, despite losing a runoff for the Republican primary.
