UNIONTOWN, Ohio, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- An Illinois-based sperm bank is facing a lawsuit after it accidentally sent a white lesbian couple vials of sperm donated by an African-American male. In the lawsuit, the two women allege that raising a mixed-race child in the "racially intolerant" town of Uniontown, Ohio, will prove stressful.
The lawsuit was filed Monday against Midwest Sperm Bank by birth mother Jennifer Cramblett and her same-sex domestic partner Amanda Zinkon. Though the two women requested the sperm of an anonymous caucasian donor, they were unknowingly sent vials containing the genetic donations of an African-American man.
