CENTENNIAL, Colo., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- A Colorado District Court judge decided Tuesday to allow the media to use a closed-circuit camera in the courtroom during the upcoming James Holmes murder trial.

Holmes is accused of killing 12 people and injuring dozens of other during a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" in 2012.

The judge will allow media to use video from that closed-circuit camera.

However, the judge denied a print camera in the courtroom, he said print media can get stills from the camera the TV stations use.

The trial is expected to begin in December with jury selection.

Holmes faces the death penalty if convicted.
